Florence and the Machine wins Best British Album for Lungs

florenceandthemachinebrit.jpgFiery redhead Florence and the Machine beat out Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen and Dizzee Rascal to snag the Best British Album award last night at the Brits.

Florence Welsh, who just last year won the critics' choice award, got the statue for her debut album 'Lungs' and took to the stage to thank her "incredible band" along with everyone who had bought the album.

It was a successful night for Flo, who also performed a mash up of her single 'You've Got The Love' with Dizzee Rascal, in what was said by many to be the best performance of the night.
