Victoria Beckham's American Idol appearance slated

Victoria Beckham appeared as a guest judge on the panel of American Idol but her own appearance has been slated by critics. Brought in to replace Paula Abdul until Ellen DeGeneres takes over, Beckham's appearance was branded 'gaunt' and 'offputting' by the Los Angeles Times while The Village Voice blog described her appearance as 'Jackie O Barbie'. Ouch.

Despite the harsh feedback, she enjoyed the experience, 'I just love the fact that I could dip in and dip out. It was great. I saw so much talent, and to be a part of making someone's dream come true was exciting for me.' Ah well, back to making dresses Victoria.
