Taylor Swift wins Favourite Female Artist at the People's Choice Awards

What a disappointment the People's Choice Awards were. Too many good-taste outfits and not enough howlers - boo! But at last Taylor Swift got an award without being upstaged by Kanye. She picked up her gong for Favourite Female Artist wearing a well-chosen Jenny Packham mini-dress and Louboutin heels with a just-grown-up-enough finger-waved up-do.

The 20-year-old, whose Fearless album is the top-seller of 2009 beat Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Pink and Beyonce for the award. Nice one Taylor!
