Gemma Arterton: 'British people can't stand successful, beautiful women'

James Bond actress, Gemma Arterton has hit out at negative British attitudes in an interview with The Times. The talented beauty has lashed back at critics insisting, 'For some reason, if you're successful in Britain, people tend not to like you, but if you are a successful woman, and beautiful, in Britain, you are even more disliked.'
The 23-year old who has had successful roles in St Trinian's and the BBC's Tess of the Durbervilles also makes a stand against the industry's notorious anti-curves culture. 'I dress like a woman and wear a lot of couture because it's made for real women with curves.'
Well said Gemma!
