Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick wrap up for winter

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick left the kids at home to brave the cold weather in New York this weekend.

The pair, sporting as many layers as they could possibly find, were seen heading to the Lucille Lortel Theater in the West Village and we have to say, despite the practical nature of SJP's snow wear, she's somewhat lacking in the style stakes.

We're loving the ear muffs, but the baggy harem pants into Wellington boots combo is slightly less chic. I suppose the problem with Sarah Jessica is we're always expecting her to pull a Carrie Bradshaw in the style stakes, and when she looks like an ordinary mother of three, we're perpetually disappointed.

Fortunately, we've only got five or so months to go until our next Carrie Bradshaw fix, and until then, we'll just have to dig out our old Sex and the City box sets...
