Lady Gaga requested lambs and butterflies for X Factor performance

Following in the footseps of Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga requested lambs and butterflies to accompany her on stage for last night's performance on the X Factor.

The singer, who was performing new single Bad Romance on stage, had to make to without the livestock, with Simon Cowell turning the request down on Health and Safety grounds (that old chestnut).

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Simon is an animal lover and wasn't against having the lambs running around, but he said no because of health and safety."
