Katy Perry's parents want Russell Brand to 'go towards the light'

Russell Brand has defied the odds and survived an entire holiday with Katy Perry's evangelical parents without messing things up.

However, you have to wonder what on earth he said to them... Katie's mother Mary Hudson said: "Russell must go towards the light and not towards the darkness, Only God can take the very worst person and turn them around for good."

Husband Pastor Keith Hudson added: "Russell's really got a hunger for the supernatural. He's got a real spiritual hunger."

A real spiritual hunger? Call us cynical but that sounds like the chat up line Russell used last time he tried to get off with a nun. Still at least he's making an effort for the parents. And it'll certainly be interesting to see where this one goes...
