Demi Moore donates $100,000 to local shelter

Demi Moore has donated $100,000 to a local shelter over Christmas.

The Southwest Community Centre in California burned down earlier this month, following a suspected electrical fault - destroying all the gifts and food they had collected for poor children and senior citizens.

A source told Star magazine that Moore wrote a cheque to the centre as soon as she heard about the tragedy: "Demi whipped out her chequebook right away".
