Cheryl Cole takes the big train to the X Factor

Cheryl Cole pulled out all the stops for Sunday's X Factor. Maybe she realised that she was going to have to pull out all the stops to compete with both fellow judge Dannii Minogue and a winged Lady GaGa.

A short dress with a big train is a great way of channeling all the majesty of a full-length frock while still flashing a substantial amount of leg.

However, we're increasingly amazed that Cheryl has never stacked it on her way from the stage to her judges chair - that platform shoes and train combo looks particularly perilous.
