Parents call for Gossip Girl threesome episode to be cancelled

Gossip Girl's riding the controversy train this week, with parents calling for this week's episode to be pulled amid reports that it will contain a threesome.

The plot first came to light at an advance screening of Monday's show, and led Tim Winter, the president of the Parent Television Council to tell US magazine that the storyline was 'reckless and irresponsible.'

He also asked 'will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviours heretofore associated primarily with adult films.'

Assuming they don't actually manage to cancel the show, the Parents Television Council has probably managed to guarantee some pretty healthy ratings for that threesome scene...
