Mel C gets the sequins out for a night of lady rock

Mel C was the unlikely recipient of best-dressed award at the Women in Rock Charity Concert at the Royal Albert Hall last weekend. The sequin body con dress was trend-tastic and frankly, she didn't have much competition.

Other luminaries attending the event included evil trans-Atlantic hippy Joss Stone who proved once again what a free spirit she is by...taking her shoes off. Presenting the awards was newsreader Angela Rippon, who is lovely, but made the heinous error of ditching her newsreader-friendly suit for leather trousers.

Brian May also performed, despite not actually being a woman, so feel free to insert your own Brian-May-has-girlie-hair joke here. Sorry, I'd do it myself, but it's just too easy.
