Leighton Meester's found her inner rock chick

Leighton Meester was quick to establish her fashion credentials as she left the MTV studios in New York this week.

Leaving her Gossip Girl style of twinsets and Alice bands behind her, Leighton was snapped wearing a leather jacket (leather is fast shaping up to be the fabric of the season), an oyster coloured shift dress and ankle boots. And we have to say, she looked amazing.

With a burgeoning pop career underway, Leighton's clearly looking to reinvent herself as something of a rock chick - and we think it might just be working.
