Kate Beckinsale makes another nondescript red carpet appearance

Kate Beckinsale made an appearance at this week's Hollywood Reporter's Phillanthropist of the Year awards.

It's unclear if she was there on account of her own philanthropic acts, or in her role as an actress (last big part: Van Helsing, 2004). Either way she (sort of) demonstrated why she was voted Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire this year in a sleek black frock and contrasting grey heels.

However, by far the most exciting thing about Kate these days is that her ex Michael Sheen will be playing Aro in New Moon. Not that Kate would attempt to boost her own profile by association, of course...

Jesus Christ! You know, before you write a blurb on this stupid blog attacking Ms. Beckinsale, why don't you do a bit of research you frickin' idiot.

Kate was there to support her close friend Eva Longoria, who won the award for Philanthropist of the Year. Were all the other celebrities there just trying to gain publicity? Were Rosalyn Sanchez and Sheryl Crow there to gain publicity?

Fools like you should be kicked right between the eyes. And please spare me the Twilight talk. It's a godawful film with bad acting, stilted dialogue, and an idiotic story. Only teenage girls give a damn about that pathetic series of films.
