Is Cheryl Cole to star in new series of Doctor Who?

As unlikely as it sounds, Cheryl Cole is being lined up as a guest star on Dr Who.

According to The Mirror, the BBC are keen to get the X Factor judge on board - particularly as this coup would mean stealing one of ITV's biggest stars.

An insider told the paper "If she can find the time, a part will be written for her."

So what do you reckon - can you picture Cheryl in the TARDIS or do you think time travel is a step too far for the Girl Aloud?

I could picture Cheryl in the TARDIS. Cheryl would defiantly glam Doctor Who up. =D
