Angelina Jolie reconciles with father Jon Voight

Angelina Jolie and father Jon Voight have been reconciled after seven years of not speaking.

In a story that sounds mighty similar to the current Lindsay-Michael-Lohan saga, Angelina stopped talking to her father in 2001 after he appeared on Accesss Hollywood begging her to get help for 'serious mental problems.'

However, Jon as told US Weekly that the pair have been talking since February this year: "We're in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that's the most important thing."

A source added "Angie made the initial contact, Brad has been supportive - a key factor in her reaching out."

So it looks like Brad is good for something other than growing a beard and falling off motorbikes. Who knew?
