Alexa Chung gives the (fake) fur coat a modern twist
Alexa Chung abandoned her usual pinafore and brogues combo and went dead classy for the Vogue Fashion Fund Award in New York this week.
If you're going to wear a full on fur coat, there's always the danger you could come across all Melanie Griffith in Working Girl. Or even worse, Pat Butcher, the Frank years. However, by resisting the urge to team her (fake?) fur coat with any sort of bling, and keeping everything else relatively simple, Alexa looks modern and fresh.
Tights might have been a good idea, however. Blue knees aren't a good look on either side of the Atlantic.
