Mischa Barton grins and bears it

Mischa Barton seems to be just about grinning and bearing the recent blow to her career - her new TV series The Beautiful Life was canned after just two episodes at the end of last month.

We're happy to report no crazy antics or rehab action in retaliation just yet from Mischa B, who hit the Sony VIAO launch party in New York looking fairly relaxed in a black body con dress and leather jacket.

That said, she still looked a bit lackluster and bloated in some shots - but rumour has it she's trying to quit smoking, which might be the innocent explanation for her downbeat appearance (as oppose to the usual nervous breakdown).
