Baby number two for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

Congratulations to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who yesterday had baby number two - a boy called Sparrow James Midnight Madden.

Nicole checked into an LA hospital on Monday and gave birth early on Tuesday morning. Sparrow weighed in at 7lbs 14oz.

The couple's daughter Harlow was born in January 2008, but as Nicole told Larry King recently, they didn't want to know if they were having a boy or girl this time until the birth. 'We want a surprise. What is there really to plan? I'll get clothes after,' she said.
