Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet strike up friendship
They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies even closer, so we know what Penelope Cruz was up to at the Academy Awards nominee lunch yesterday...
The actress, dressed in a Bianca jagger-style suit, explained that; "Kate and I have become very close even though we have only met three times. Everyone likes to think there's rivalry between us but that's not true."
Yeah, yeah... Just wait until the actual awards when Winslet forgets your name, like she infamously did with Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes.
Cruz has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her part in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, while Kate Winslet is up for Best Actress for her role in The Reader.
