Leona Lewis turns down £1m shop offer
And not just any old shop. Harrods.
Yes, Leona Lewis has once again proved herself to be that wonderful, rare creature: a celebrity with, you know, ethics.
Because it's been revealed that she turned down a £1 million offer from Harrods to open their summer sale. Her reason? They sell fur.
"I'm totally against animal cruelty," said Leona in response to their offer. "I don't have clothes, shoes or bags made from any animal products."
The honours will now be done by the more ethically-challenged Kim Cattrall - who joins the likes of Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria and Christina Aguilera, who have all opened the Harrods sale in the past.
Leona, we salute you. And so do our four-legged friends, with their little furry paws.
