Jessica Simpson launches Fancy fragrance with pet pooch present

Renaissance woman Jessica Simpson (she can sing, she can act and she dates a quarterback) has added yet another string to her creative bow. She's only gone and designed a fragrance.

Fancy Jessica Simpson (that's not a command, it's the name of the fragrance) was launched by Jessica and Daisy (that's her dog) in Dallas on Saturday, but not from Cape Canaveral. Why are perfumes always launched?

Now, I have no objection to taking your pet dog along to a perfume launch - but when the perfume in question was co-created with Dior Parfums vet Alexis Dadier it starts to get a little suspect. Let's assume vet is short for veteran and not veterinarian.

The Dallas Morning News described Jessica's new smell thus: "The notes in the blush pink perfume read like the ingredients of a mouthwatering dessert: pear, apricot nectar, toasted almonds and caramel, plus a flowery dash of gardenia and jasmine". Mmmmm. Smelly. And yummy.

Here's Jessica with the lovely Daisy. In a bag. It's a Louis Vuitton bag, though, so all's well.
