'I'm not dating Jennifer Aniston' says Gerard Butler
Or: "says unknown British actor and Jimmy Nail lookalike", of course.
You may recall that not long after Jennifer Aniston stepped out at her Toronto Film Festival premiere here in her Balenciaga dress, she was rumoured to have hooked up with Scottish hunk and RockNRolla star Gerard Butler. And yes, I mean "hooked up" in the American sense. Because that's what Jennifer Aniston does. And good for her, too. More power to her... erm... elbow, and all that.
Anyway: Gerard is denying that there's any romance between him and Jen. "This came from a 7-minute conversation that we had at the Toronto Film Festival at a big party,' he tells E! Online. "And the next minute it's in all the papers."
Excuse me! "All over the internet", please, Gerard! Honestly. And anyway: don't worry - no one really thinks you're dating. We just think you hooked up. There's a world of difference.
