Britney Spears to play herself in biopic

Strange but true: Britney Spears is set to star in a film about her own life.

According to the Daily Mirror, "top British director Phil Griffin is set to be in charge and, after Britney's fab reviews in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, she's jumped at the chance to play herself."

And the previous work of "top British director" Griffin? Erm, two Amy Winehouse videos.

"It's the film everyone will be queuing to see," says a source. "It will be dark and gritty - charting Britney's devastating falls... But it will also show the highs along her incredible life journey."

Highs like the Mickey Mouse Club? The 'Baby One More Time' video? Ooh, I can't wait to see Britney's costumes!
