Ashlee Simpson has a 'white trash' birthday bash

You may have thought that Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson and Poppa Joe Simpson were good ol country-lovin', workin'-class people. But that doesn't stop them making fun of good ol' country-lovin' workin'-class people.

Yes, Ashlee celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday night - and according to People, she "swapped her stylish maternity wardrobe for trailer-park chic" for the party.

"It had a white-trash theme," says a guest who attended the bash Ashlee's parents' home. "Ashlee wore Daisy Dukes and platform flip-flops with a bathing suit and a fake tattoo around her belly... Joe wore a cut-off muscle T-shirt and a mullet wig. It was funny."

Erm, indeed. Although not as funny as her sister's fancy dress outfit, apparently. "Jessica was wearing a crazy leopard-print dress that showed off a lot of cleavage," says the guest.

And that's as opposed to...?
