Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt return to France

brangeplane.jpgBonjour! Or whatever the French for "welcome home" is. "Bonjour la classe!", I think.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's whirlwind trip to America is over. After a visit to New York, for her film premiere, and a trip to New Orleans, for, erm, no particular reason, Brangelina and their kiddies are back in France.

Here they were landing at Nice airport yesterday. And as you can see, Brad has wasted no time in getting back into his Favourite French Riviera Look - perhaps he got changed on the plane? - while Angelina also opted for comfort over style in a loose black dress and ballet pumps.

Still, at least they both do their own lifting. Who said that celebrities were too grand?

To quote another blog: "Their visit right now was not an accident. They knew by popping into town, with pictures of Brad walking through the damaged neighborhoods, New Orleans would again be in the headlines. They are very savvy that way. With just a handful of weeks before the presidential election, they wanted to subtly remind everyone that New Orleans is still in recovery mode," says a friend of the couple.

The Jolie-Pitts zoomed to New Orleans where Brad met with the board of directors and staff of Project Make It Right, and a charity reception where he announced that they had enough money to build 90 out of the 150 houses total – including money from American Idol. With the whole clan being photographed in NOLA, especially the Lower 9th Ward, I think they subtly reminded who ever was paying attention of the human disaster of Katrina, and the even bigger disaster of government neglect and incompetence.
