The new-look Britney Spears steps out in Las Vegas

I do believe this is what's known in the trade as 'a comeback'.

Yes, Britney Spears is back to what she does best. Namely: looking slender and blonde and like a deer caught in headlights.

She was out with friends in Las Vegas at the weekend - and here she was, on her way to the Cirque Du Soleil show 'Love'. Which is probably the best thing on in Vegas right now (well, apart from Penn and Teller), so: well chosen, Britney. Your taste is impeccable.

Some would say that Britney's taste in clothes here is less impeccable - peccable, perhaps? - as the Daily Mirror, for example, have accused her of dressing like a dowdy librarian by wearing this dress. Which I think is a little harsh. Surely it's Sarah Palin who's dressing like a librarian right now?
