Anyway, the man stepping in to save the day and protect Britney from her former pal is none other than her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

The pair bumped into each other at the opening of Las Vegas's Lavo restaurant and nightclub last week - and Kevin allegedly told Paris to back off from Britney.

"It was quite a chilling warning," says a source. "She was quite friendly and asked how Britney and the kids were - but she won't be asking again."
