Lindsay Lohan is snubbed by Barack Obama

Yes, despite her best efforts to get political and blog about the reasons why Sarah Palin would be bad for America - hell, she even used the word 'negate'! - Lindsay Lohan's offer to help the Barack Obama campaign has been turned down with a polite 'thanks, but no thanks".

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Lindsay offered to host a series of events aimed at younger voters, but the Democrats weren't interested. '[Lindsay] is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us," a source on the Obama team told the paper.

Ah well. Probably just best to go back to what you do best, eh Lindsay? Namely, acting. And modelling clothes. And speaking to all those young voters through the power of your MySpace blog. More power to your fingers! As it were.
