Lindsay Lohan blogs about Bristol Palin pregnancy

Yup, Lindsay Lohan's into politics, folks. Who knew?

She's been blogging about the current scandal hitting John McCain's Vice Presidential running mate Sarah Palin - well, one of the current scandals hitting her - namely, the revelation that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol is pregnant. (Yes, she's really called Bristol. And the father of the child is called Levi. And Bristol's brother is called Track. And her other brother... oh, you get the idea.)

"I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but I would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what," writes Lindsay on her MySpace blog. ""I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)."

Like, erm, pregnancy, presumably.

Cunningly, Lindsay's words have appeared at exactly the same time as this photograph of her in an electric blue top, looking very happy and... erm... pregnant. But don't worry, she and Samantha Ronson aren't in the family way, too - this was taken on set (or rather: off set) of her latest movie Labor Pains.

I think this is what we call art imitating life. Or possibly the other way round. Because, frankly, I blame the media for getting Bristol Palin pregnant. And no, that's not another boy's name.
