Lindsay Lohan texts Michael Phelps

That's right: Lindsay Lohan and Olympic swimming phenom Michael Phelps. It's a potential celebrity match so scarily of the Zeitgeist that all the celebrity magazine editors' heads would spontaneously combust. Hopefully.

Access Hollywood - yes, it's them again - asked Michael four years ago, at the Athens Olympics, which celebrity he'd most like to meet. Erm, as you do, when you're interviewing an athlete.

Anyway, back in 2004, Michael answered: "Lindsay Lohan. She's pretty hot." So guess what? Four years later, Access Hollywood track down Lindsay - post-Michael's medal-haul - and get a text message response to his comment.

"Tell him he's (expletive) amazing, and I want to meet him," wrote Lindsay. Michael's response? "That's pretty cool". Well, indeed.

Meanwhile, back in style news: here was Lindsay going to the hairdresser's yesterday. And looking rather Kate Moss-esque, in her skinny grey jeans and gladiator sandals. And rather, erm, Lily Allen-esque in her lack of bra. Still, nice to know she's imitating British girls, eh? Must be Samantha Ronson's influence...
