Lindsay Lohan: 'My relationship with Samantha Ronson is private'

You tell 'em, girlfriend!

And I mean 'girlfriend' in a, erm, purely platonic way.

Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan have been revealing, well, not exactly 'all', but certainly a little bit more about their relationship, to Harper's Bazaar magazine. On the cover of which, Samantha, her brother Mark and her twin sister Charlotte are dressed like the three siblings in The Royal Tennenbaums (luckily for Samantha, she got the long straw and is the Gwyneth Paltrow character).

When asked about Lindsay, 31-year-old Samantha says: "She's great. She's also 22 years old. I think people forget that. With the Internet the way it is, one second we're enemies, one second we're best friends, one second we're lovers, and then we're broken up. Even the airport security guy in Canada asked me, 'So is it true?'" she says. "It's like, 'Oh, yeah, I'm telling you.' "

And as for Lindsay's take? Well, she emailed her response to Harper's, telling them: "I love the Ronsons. They're close to my ♥ and I respect all the work they do." But, she adds: "Samantha and my relationship is a private matter."

Doh! But hey. At least she used the word 'relationship', right?
