Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise put in a rare public appearance last night - at the LA premiere of Ben Stiller's new movie Tropic Thunder. So that's why she was getting in a helicopter...

Tomkat's red carpet outfits, as you can see, consisted of a midnight blue bustier dress and matching shoes (her) and shiny grey jacket, jeans and supremely white trainers (him).
