Kate Middleton and Prince William head home from holiday

The Daily Mail published shots of Kate Middleton on her hols last week with the words: "Sporting a sexy black and white bikini she could have been any woman happily in love and spending quality time with her boyfriend on holiday".

Except that, erm, Kate Middleton looked amazing in her bikini, was on a great big yacht in the Caribbean, and her boyfriend was Prince William. So they weren't really the holiday snaps of "any woman".

But, still: Kate and William have been sunning themselves on the island of Mustique - staying at a £5million luxury villa with a staff of four, and popping out for the occasional bit of waterskiing - and have now headed home.

"They only planned on a week there, which is a bit unusual, as they still have some time together before he continues military training," a royal insider tells People magazine.

"Because he has been away for quite a while now, there will be lots of catching up with their group of friends in England," adds the insider. "Summer is still the time of fun." Erm, well, indeed, 'insider'. Thanks for the, erm, 'insight'.
