Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are living separate lives

...for the time being. Well, she can't be following him around at shows all the time, now, can she? What with her being a 39-year-old independent woman of the noughties, and all.

While John Mayer performs on the east coast of America - what with him being a 30-year-old guitar and songwriting phenom, and all - and is photographed with women in hot tubs (more of that later), Jennifer Aniston remains in LA. Where she's been spotted out shopping in denim shorts, and having lunch with Diane Keaton. As you do.

That said: both John and Jennifer were in Mexico last week - so surely they must have hooked up (in both the British and American sense) at some point? Jen attended a charity auction for an orphanage - to which she donated three autographed leather bags - while John was snapped in a hot tub with "a mystery woman", ie. not Jennifer.

Clearing up the mystery of the mystery woman, a source told Us magazine: "The woman in the photos is one of the wives of his band members". What?! He was in a hot tub with the wife of one of his band members?! And this is a good explanation?!
