Kate Middleton 'told not to get a job'

middlesmile.jpgSo that'll make her true royalty, won't it?

Yes, forget the stories about the Queen's concern over Kate Middleton's lack of A Proper Job - according to the Daily Telegraph, Prince William's girlfriend has been advised by "courtiers" (yes, we still have those in Britain) to do exactly the opposite.

Celebrity and fashion photographer Mario Testino has denied reports that Kate was ever going to work for him - "It's simply not true" - and it looks like she isn't going to be working for anyone else anytime soon, either.

"According to a close friend of Kate, the 26-year-old St Andrews graduate has been advised by courtiers not to take any permament job," reports the Torygraph's Mandrake. "'She's not working and there are no plans for her to work," says her chum".

Apparently, the Royals want to avoid another repeat of the 'Fake Sheikh scandal' involving Sophie Wessex's PR firm. Which may seem a little paranoid to the rest of us - but hey, in the world of the Royal Family, all our jobs in The Real World probably just blend into one, don't they?
