Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt choose Bono for a godfather

Yes, just when you thought little Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline couldn't have a better start in life - Brangelina have made U2 front man Bono their godfather.

Angelina, Brad and their newborn twins apparently spent a week at Bono's bolthole in the South of France after leaving hospital two weeks ago. And in return for the Irishman's generosity - and, well, years of friendship - Brad 'n' Ange offered him the ultimate honour. And sources tell the Sunday Mirror that a "thrilled" Bono accepted it immediately.

"They have been friends for years. Brad is a massive U2 fan and told Bono how much he admired him when they were introduced at a party a few years back. Since then, they've become very close, which Brad is thrilled about," revealed an insider (see - everyone's thrilled). "Angelina is inspired by Bono's humanitarian work and gets on with his wife Ali Hewson. Ali's given Angelina some clothes from her ethical clothing range Edun."

So does this mean that Knox and Vivienne will be dressed in nothing but organic, Fairtrade cotton? And little Fly-style sunglasses? I do hope so!
