Madonna 'ready to ditch Guy Ritchie'

The rumours have been swirling for weeks - but now they've reached fever pitch. To mix my metaphors somewhat.

Yes, it looks like pop queen, style queen, and wannabe documentary filmmaker queen Madonna isn't just heading for the big 5-0 this year (that's an age, not a football score). She's also heading to the divorce courts.

According to today's Metro (and others), Madge hasn't been wearing her wedding ring lately and "is rumoured to have called in one of the country's top divorce barristers as she allegedly plans to leave Guy for good."

That barrister is none other than Nicholas Mostyn QC - the chap who represented Sir Paul McCartney in his recent £24million divorce from Heather Mills. It's thought that Madonna and Guy don't have a pre-nup. And she's worth £300million. Hmm. Yes, probably best to call in "one of the country's top divorce barristers" then...
