Cheryl Cole Watch, Day Two: Girls Aloud arrive in Manchester

Welcome to Cheryl Cole Watch, Day Two: in which our heroine puts her best foot forward. And that appears to be her left one.

The Daily Mail has excelled itself this morning, carrying this picture Cheryl under the headline: 'Stick-thin Cheryl looks thinner than ever' - thus managing a first, I think, and getting 'thin' in there twice. Bravo!

This, however, being a celebrity fashion flog, will focus more on what Cheryl was wearing. Which was, as you can see, a very Kate Moss-esque pair of pale jeans (I've been really resisting the idea that pale jeans are back in fashion, but it appears I've lost the denim battle); a grey hoodie; a spectacular pair of shades; a spectacular pair of purple platforms; and her hair scraped back in a double headband. Yes, only a celebrity can look this good 'dressed down'.

Back at the Daily Mail, meanwhile, they report that "while her Girls Aloud band-mates seemed their usual chirpy selves, the singer looked distinctly miserable." Maybe that's because you keep going on about how "stick-thin" poor "thin" Cheryl is?
