Amy Winehouse performs/fights at Glastonbury
So, she made it - and it was quite a performance. In every way.
Here was Amy Winehouse on stage at the Glastonbury festival on Saturday night - looking resplendent in her uber-beehive and a fabulous dress made seemingly entirely of teeny tiny blue LP discs. Fancy!
Her performance didn't garner great reviews - The Sun said "she had begun confident but got forgetful, slurry and angry", while The Guardian (see, I read both ends of the spectrum) wrote that "she also opted to scat her way through the set instead of sing... none [of her songs] were executed with any lucidity or sense of rhythm."
But things went bad to worse when, singing down in the mosh pit, Amy actually lashed out at a fan - physically. "The man deserved it. He grabbed Amy's breasts as she went past," said festival organiser Michael Eavis - while Amy's spokesman added: "One person misbehaving did nothing to spoil a great couple of days." Or, indeed, a great beehive.
