Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans: trouble in paradise?

And by 'paradise' I do, of course, mean Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans relationship. Well, a lot of it has been conducted on holiday in Mexico, and that's pretty idyllic, isn't it?

But back to the matter in hand. Here were Sienna and Rhys out in the London sunshine yesterday - Sienna looking really rather adorable in a gorgeous LWD and almost-gladiator style sandals, and Rhys looking really rather adorable in shirt, waistcoat and jeans.

And this picture could be a case of a snapper catching them just looking, well, normal, and therefore of no significance whatsoever - or it could be a case of a snapper catching them looking glum and not holding hands, and therefore of slight significance, coming on the back of reports that they're going through "their first serious rough patch".

"It has been very strained and things are very sensitive at the moment," a friend tells the Daily Mail. "They are not over, but Sienna has made some tearful long-distance calls to Rhys and has confided to some of the cast on her movie that things aren't great."

And the reason? That old chestnut: work keeping them apart. Oh, and that other old chestnut: work leading them to co-star with other charismatic and attractive people.

"Rhys can be quite jealous and he doesn't like Sienna hanging out with other guys," says the source, "especially Sean [Penn] who she seems to have a serious crush on.

Yikes. Well, here's hoping they don't part, and that Porgy and Bess never have to be split up. Goodness knows how I'll cope with that.
