Gwyneth Paltrow's shoe boots are back!

Yes, Gwyneth Paltrow was snapped leaving Los Angeles airport yesterday - and along with her slouchy grey T-shirt dress and leather jacket, she was sporting a rather natty pair of brown shoe boots.

Gwyneth-watchers* among you will know that Ms Paltrow has basically been sporting two kinds of footwear recently: the aforementioned shoe boots, and vertiginous heels. And according to the Daily Mail, Gwyneth's stiletto-wearing has led to a surge in sales amongst the sheep women of Britain.

"This season we are selling the highest and most incredible shoes I've ever seen," says Sebastian Manes, Selfridges' director of accessories - who believes that the 35% increase in sales this week of so-called 'taxi shoes' has been led by Gwyneth.

"Alexander McQueen's Languid court shoes with a cigarette heel have been particularly popular due to their elegant timeless silhouette which contrasts beautifully with the very modern square toe," he adds. As you do.

So, next: a 35% increase in sales of shoe boots. Possibly. And don't worry - if you're after a pair, I'm sure you'll be able to get past the stampede of women, especially if you're wearing flats.
