Here was Denise Richards arriving at her New York hotel shortly after appearing on MTV's TRL - looking happy, and terribly '70s, in that floppy hat and hippyish dress of hers.

Denise, as you may know, is currently engaged in one of Hollywood's worst war of words - and that's saying something - with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. She's been on talk shows this week promoting her new reality TV show, It's Complicated, while simultaneously complaining about the lack of privacy surrounding her personal life. Not surprisingly, such a move has already earned her face-to-face criticism from the marvellous Whoopi Goldberg on daytime show The View.

Hmm... 'Wants privacy' vs 'Makes a reality TV show about her day-to-day life'. Have to say: I'm with Whoopi on this one, love.
