Beyonce Knowles gets married, becomes Desperate Housewife

The clearly very happily married Beyonce Knowles was looking very smiley - and not unlike a 1930s American paper boy - as she stepped out in New York this week. Although maybe it's not just being married, or being a paper boy, that's making her beam from ear to ear.

Because word from the States is that Bouncy has landed a cameo role in Desperate Housewives - and may be joining the cast permanently.

"They've already agreed to give Beyonce a cameo appearance," a source in the Knowles camp (and it's definitely camp) told MediaTakeOut.com, "But [we're] hoping that [she] could be written in for a recurring role, or possibly even a permanent one."

Is that the sound of Eva Longoria Parker quaking in her heels that I hear? Possibly. Or it could be Teri Hatcher.
