Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz ask guests to wear hoodies for today's wedding

Not reeeeally!

But they have asked them to wear dark clothing.

Yes, Pete Wentz and Ashlee are getting married today - think of them as the American Peter Philips and his fiancée - and a "pal" of the happy couple has been blabbing to Us magazine about all the details. Including the part which asks guests "to dress in dark colors". (Note: not "colours". They're American guests). "[Guests] have been asked to wear cocktail attire, but to not be overdressed," added the pal.

Us also reveals that a "massive white tent with bright red curtains" has been erected in Ashlee's parents' garden in Encino, California - and "a seating area around a fireplace adorned with a cross" has also been set up.

Hmm... dark clothes... A cross... Fire... Altogether now: "It's a nice day/For a gothic wedding..."
