Sarah Jessica Parker has style mishap at Smart People screening

Oh no. Sarah Jessica Parker looking less than splendid. What to do, what to do.

I mean, obviously she's a style maven. And we love the fact that she's striking, not pretty. And actually I really liked her white-shoes-black-tights look.

So, in short and to summarise, Sarah Jessica Parker: A Good Thing.

But lordy, this outfit really doesn't work.

I think it's all down to the jacket: a boxy, bright pink, Eighties-style flop. If a flop can ever be boxy.

A cropped, short sleeve jacket won't keep you warm, so it's got to look good. Which this one doesn't. Or at least, not with those leather skinnies and that petrol-blue shift.

But still: you've got to speculate to accumulate. You can't be a fash icon without experimenting, and some experiments have to go wrong innit.
