Mary-Kate Olsen at New York gala: When Headbands Go Bad
Don't you just hate it when your big, velveteen Alice band drops down in front of your face? I know it was a problem I suffered from in the '80s. And it seems that The Kids of today are still suffering the same unfortunate fate.
Because this was Is-It-A-Girl-Is-It-A-Lemur? Mary-Kate Olsen at a fundraising gala in New York last night - the 'New Year's In April: A Fool's Fête' at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, in fact - looking very, very silly indeed.
The crazy/beautiful dress could just about be gotten-away with (as our American cousins would say). And the yellow Dior clutch is OSO painfully 'now' that it screams 'stylish' with every yellow leather fibre of its being.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs headband, however, screams... well, I'm not entirely sure. But quite possibly 'Star Trek'.
