Jessica Alba's baby shower - and evening gown

Do you know what we love about Jessica? She has a party and who does she invite? Friends and family. Yep, you heard right. And we've seen the pictures to prove it.

There's no fake 'slebby friends, no magazine deal to try and make a bit of cash on the side, it's just Jess and her buddies.

Admittedly if we were having a baby shower we probably wouldn't turn up in a full length black gown to such an afternoon affair. But then it's her party and she can wear what she wants - and this Isabella Oliver Audrey dress does look pretty special. We just hope all the guests didn't feel under-dressed (judging by the pix, they probably did).

Still, when you feel fat and frumpy and you're used to being the most gorgeous gal around, you're probably willing to do whatever it takes.

Maybe Jess will save her evening dresses for evenings once she's had the bambino and up for partying post-dusk.
