Fergie goes for 50s' revival rubber at Idol Gives Back

Sometimes Fergie gets it so right, and other times (mostly), scarily wrong. It must be tricky knowing what to team a pair of rubber trousers with, and black seems like a good option, but at the end of the day, rubber is wrong, wrong, wrong.

We know the biker boots were intended to bring that fifties look into the noughties, but they make her feet look big and her legs short.

Not what we imagine Fergie was aiming for.

Some trends, quite frankly, are set to be ignored.

As someone who was forced to wear a PVC dress once (don't ask) I can promise you that this kind of outfit is both sweaty and cold. Quite a lovely combination. Sexy, it most definitely isn't.

And here's hoping Fergie didn't down too many drinks at the Idol Gives Back show cos it must be a nightmare getting those babies on and off.

Still, Fergie has always been partial to a bit of fashion experimentation (think tartan hotpants, denim bloomers and high waisted overalls) so in the grand scheme of things she is looking rather demure, by the lady lumps' standards.

And so the reports go, rubber or no rubber, Fergie's rendition of 'Barracuda' with Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson brought the house down.
