Coleen McLoughlin races through airport, is dropped as face of Asda

Not that those two events are related. I mean, even if you were dropped as the face of a major chain, I don't think it would quite warrant fleeing the country.

But, lovely as she looks here, 22-year-old Coleen McLoughlin is indeed coming to the end of her £3 million contract with the supermarket - and it won't be renewed. "Coleen has worn George clothing to star-studded events and always looked gorgeous," said brand director Fiona Lambert. "But its time to change the emphasis a little. We want to show that our core fashions are for everyone."

Coleen's spokesman, meanwhile, explained it like this: "The contract came to a natural end. Asda are changing their campaign to go after thirtysomethings, which is plainly not Coleen's demographic."

Gossips are saying that Coleen's "demographic" is, erm, not upmarket enough - and the company is planning to drop the Must Have range which she promoted. It will be replaced with a line called G21, for 15-24 year-olds, and there'll also be a new women's line called Moda.

Still, Coleen may be down, but she certainly isn't out. "She is currently in talks with a number of other High Street brands," added her spokesman. You heard it hear first!
