Britney Spears goes to hair salon, is involved in minor car accident

Not that those two events are related. Well, except for the involvement of Britney Spears.

Here was Britney on Friday, leaving the B2V hair salon in Beverly Hills. According to its blurb, B2V Salon "blends old Hollywood glamour with the comfort mode of a home". Presumably they mean your own home - not 'a home' in the, say, old-people's sense.

But I digress. Because a mere 24 (or so) hours after this picture was taken, La Spears and her new lovely long, straight blonde locks were involved in an accident on a freeway. Which is like a motorway, only full of American, rather than British, cars.

"The pop star was driving northbound on the 405 connector to the 101 freeway when the collision occurred at 8.19pm," says People's website, quoting last night's report from the California Highway Patrol.

Ooh, that's C.H.i.P.S, isn't it?! Hopefully Britney was pulled over by Ponch. Or the other one. Or, more likely, their sons. Son Of C.H.i.P.S. - I can see it now...
